The Late Zone

When i met my wife it wasn't love at first sight although she was a beautiful woman i was one of the lads and wasn't really looking for a relationship, our first date was a night down the pub with the lads, not the most romantic first date in the world but as far as a First date goes we had a laugh and all the lads liked her.

The first time i think i knew i was in Love with my wife was when she went away on holiday that year, we used to go the pub all the time together and it felt weird her not even being there the lads ribbed me saying i was acting like a love sick puppy and they couldn't wait for her to come home.

My wife who was obviously my girlfriend at the time came from a very broad minded family i later found out that was because her parents were swingers, I wasn't keen on the swingers scene myself but didn't hold it against them and my wife and i had had a talk about it and she didn't want to live their lifestyle either so there would never be any arguments over that.

The following year she was going on holiday again and i was dreading the time away from her, she was dreading it too, one day when i was at her house about two weeks before they went away her dad said to me i don't know what im going to do with her she has been mopping around now for the past few weeks since we have all started to get into the holiday mood i think its because she doesnt want to be away from you, how do you fancy coming away with us, i was over the moon and said yes immediately, then i decided to pluck up the courage and ask her dad if it was OK if i asked for his daughters hand in marriage while we were on holiday he gave his permission in an instance, this holiday was going to be a holiday to remember and hopefully the first of many more to come.
